The information provided in the following table has been extracted from data supplied by the Commonwealth War Graves Commission. The information shown in the table is condensed - the data omitted is date of birth, age and details of next of kin (parents and wife, if married) and location of the grave in the Cemetery. Next of kin information is not always given in the CWGC list.

For the purposes of the Commonwealth War Graves Commission, the dates of World War 2 are from 3 September 1939 - 31 December 1947.

The Society would be pleased to hear from visitors to the site, especially if the name of one of your relatives appears. Just as important is the need to contact us if you cannot find the name of your relative but you believe that it should be included because of service with one of the Railway Units. The Commonwealth War Graves Commission has already amended its records arising from information supplied by the Society and there is the possibility that other names might have been excluded in error. Any queries arising from your visit to this site should be forwarded to chairman@8fsociety.co.uk"

On Sunday 3 November 2002 the Society arranged a special service at Kidderminster on the Severn Valley Railway, conducted by the Reverend James Symonds. The Chief Royal Engineer, Lieutenant General Sir Scott Grant, KCB, dedicated the Roll of Honour and Books of Remembrance, commemorating the 354 military railwaymen of the Corps of Royal Engineers who died during WW2.

During the annual Severn Valley Railway Remembrance Sunday service held on 9 November 2003 the names of 15 casualties from the Roll of Honour were read aloud in an act of remembrance.
