'Black Eight' is the magazine for the Stanier 8F Locomotive Society limited, and is edited by Rob Newman.
All members receive the magazine, which is published periodically.
As well as serving to inform members of locomotive news it also carries topics of wider interest.
Articles, letters and photographs are warmly welcomed and may be of general railway interest.
Typical 'Black Eight' issues contain Locomotive notes, Society notes, Boardroom matters, Letters and articles submitted by members on a variety of railway and locomotive related subjects.
Recent milestones include 100 issues, and a full colour edition featuring most of 8233/48773's railtours.
